Oklahoma City Memorial Half Marathon Race Report by Fifty States HALF Marathon Club member Daniel Shank
The 12th annual Oklahoma City Memorial Half was a whole new experience for me. More than 8000 half finishers. (total field for allraces was 25000 plus) I have never run a race of this size before, it it was awesome. Because it was very well organized, a friend ran the race too, and the Memorial part was moving. Over 3 minutes of silence in rememberance of the bombing in '95. 1 second per person... The Oklahoma City spirit was powerfull. Best I have ever seen in a race. Highly recommend! State #19 down.
